Developed as an alternative to the Perforated Tray Screen used for fine screening in treatment plants, the Compact Screen ensures the removal of solid particles larger than 3 mm from the facility.
In the equipment consisting of a screen structure in the submerged section, the aim is to remove retained materials from the water by conveying them via a screw conveyor. During the upward transport of the retained waste, it is washed with service water and then proceeds to the compaction section. Here, by reducing the diameter and pitch of the compression helical, volume reduction of the waste is achieved through compaction. The washed and compacted screenings are discharged through the discharge chute, while the effluent exiting the system is returned to the treatment plant.
In equipment manufactured according to channel dimensions, the screen, auger, and body are all made of stainless steel. Compact Screens, which incorporate grating, pressing, and conveying functions, offer significant advantages in terms of initial investment cost, operational ease, and space requirements.
